Manchester has come a long way since it was the centre of the North of England cotton and coal industry. Even today, the original canals that took barges laden with products from Manchester to Leeds and Liverpool still exist, although now they are predominately used for leisure. Many Cafe bars, Restaurants, Theatres and Concert halls such as the Bridgewater Hall have paved the way to the diverse culture and cuisine that can be found on the streets of Manchester today.
